Location : PHILADELPHIA, PA 19112
Duration : 06 months
Pay rate : $23-$25 Hr
Job Description
With minimal guidance from supervision and within established procedures, the individual will conduct routine as well as complex research laboratory activities. The incumbent will provide support to the Chemists / Engineers in the research and development process. Research may include assistance with information / data management activities and analysis of results.
Roles Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design of experiments, conduct those experiments independently and collect, summarize, and present the resulting data.
- Preparation and evaluation of coating formulations including electro-coat, primer, topcoat and clear coat using mixing equipment and various spray equipment.
- Willingness to train and become proficient in application equipment to spray coating formulations on test substrates.
- Accurately run and record test results for all coatings formulations.
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the laboratory; collaborate with research investigators when erroneous or unexpected results occur.
- Document findings and communicate results using Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, & Teams.
- Make suggestions on path forward and contribute to formulating work plans and managing daily workflow.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment used to conduct experiments at the designated work location.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of chemicals and / or supplies necessary for the completion of experiments at work location.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Safely handle, categorize, and dispose of chemicals on a routine basis.
- Handle multiple tasks under strict time constraints.
