AEVEX Aerospace is hiring Manufacturing Engineering Intern to work in our Tactical Systems engineering department. Envision, design, and develop products and systems as an integrated member of the engineering team. You will work closely with engineering teams across AEVEX to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking engineers whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs. You'll have the opportunity develop and refine technical skills working alongside industry experts in aircraft design, avionics and autonomy.
The AEVEX Internship Program gives individuals who are early in their career the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities while discussing goals, evaluating performance and receiving regular feedback. This Engineering Intern will work along side the Tactical Systems Engineering Team through a variety of disciplines to envision, design, and develop products and systems while developing and refining their technical skills.
Essential Functions
- Helps review current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, supporting efforts across supply chain and business systems to enhance efficiency.
- Aids in developing manufacturing processes by gathering product requirements, researching testing methods, and collaborating with equipment vendors.
- Works with the team to analyze workflows, space usage, and equipment layouts to support process optimization.
- Assists in gathering data related to production, labor, and material costs to help inform manufacturing decisions.
- Helps compile reports by collecting and summarizing information on manufacturing processes and trends.
- Supports design and development projects by working alongside technicians and learning from experienced team members.
- Collaborate with manager to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout duration of the program
- Performing field tests on equipment and document results
- Research solutions to new products components and recommend upgrades
- Perform other duties as assigned.
