This position is ideal for an educator passionate about early intervention and driven to help young learners reach their full potential. Our agency is seeking a compassionate and skilled LBS1 Specialist to support early childhood learners.

Responsibilities :

  • Continuously evaluate student progress and adapt instruction to meet evolving IEP objectives.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align services and goals.
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in both oneonone and group settings for children aged 35.
  • Establish a safe structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
  • Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of early childhood students.
  • Partner closely with families paraprofessionals therapists and other educators to foster student growth and success.
  • Incorporate playbased learning and evidencebased practices to support children s social emotional cognitive and physical development.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Illinois teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Previous experience supporting children with disabilities in a preschool environment is highly desirable.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to engage collaboratively with families and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate expertise in early childhood development and implementing effective behavior management techniques.
