POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer will design, wire, troubleshoot and build custom equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment
- Communicate with operators and leads to diagnose problems or implement improvements
- Verify safe operating conditions
- Design electrical controls and drive systems
- Quote jobs
- Layout control panels and junction boxes
- Wire electrical controls and systems
- Program PLC, PC's, HMI's, VFD, etc.
- Research replacement components
- Purchase components
- Train operators and leads on new equipment release
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis
- Take on and complete any work that is assigned by the tool room Area / Shift leaders
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years; or Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experienceFamiliarization with PLC programming and CadMust have all basic toolsAbility to understand and follow English instructionsElectrical design and troubleshooting skillsGood basic math skillsAbility to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours and overtime as requiredAbility to use computer and software as requiredCOMPETENCIES
