The Role
Based in Minneapolis, you’ll be guided by and receive support from the Payroll Manager and the Compliance, Compensation and Benefits team. Simply put, your purpose will be to be ensure that employees of Alight are paid accurately and on-time and that all the correspondingdocumentationis compliant and audit-ready at all times.
In this role, you will support the Payroll Manager and the Compliance, Compensation, and Benefits teams to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Alight employees across multiple countries. This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in payroll processing, eager to work in an entry-level but complex international payroll environment. You will be responsible for ensuring payroll compliance with internal policies, local and international regulations, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
You’ll know you’re doing well if you perform established payroll practices and ensure compliance with ALIGHT policies and procedures for the payroll activities of the organization Government donor compliance.
Building a shared organization takes time and intention. We will always be becoming Alight, which means your work will evolve as well. For now, here’s how you could anticipate spending your time :
Payroll Processing and Administration-90% of the time
Audit and Compliance Support-10% of the time

Qualifications

We’re also looking for the following technical competencies :
1-3 years’ experience in payroll.
Working knowledge of non-profit / fund accounting and ADP payroll system.
Understanding of . and international payroll compliance.
Computer skills and knowledge of various payroll systems to include ADP
Detail-oriented, organized and respect for accuracy in numbers is essential.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well under pressure with distractions
Highly motivated self-starter
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills
Salary : $23-25 / hour
