The KMBC 9 / KCWE 29 Internship Program is a paid, rigorous and highly competitive hands-on experience that provides individuals the opportunity to learn about the operations of a broadcast television station. The programming department is responsible for creating and maintaining program schedules for both KMBC and KCWE. We also monitor programming for our multicast channels – Me-TV, Story TV, True Crime Network and Nosey TV. This role reports to the Programming Manager.
Responsibilities
Your first day at the station is set aside for orientation which Must be attended. Plan to work three days a week, eight hours each shift with varying schedules. During your internship you should always check in with your assigned advisor upon entering the building. In-person attendance is required.
Securing housing and transportation during the internship are the responsibility of the intern. KMBC 9 / KCWE 29 cannot offer support in this area.
