Position Summary
Benefit Advisor / Sales developing new business in the Florida market as well as managing current accounts. Partial ownership of book of business is available.
Develop and manage existing and new client relationships for assigned book of business by identifying benefit design strategies, administration and implementation of benefit programs tailored to each individual client's needs. Identify new sales opportunities by establishing new business partnerships and networking opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage Benefit Analysts who assist in servicing assigned book of business.Facilitate and manage renewals annually with carriers, internal support staff and clients.Develop and nurture client leads and referrals.Grow existing book of business by recommending new product solutions to existing clients and by building new relationships with prospective clients.Develop and nurture business partnerships with outside organizations to generate prospective clients and provide referrals for business partners with creditable business services.Address and resolve client questions as received within BRSi service standards.Monitor and manage new business during the transition process with internal / external contacts.Develop and deliver sales presentations by interpreting client / prospective client needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.Resolve client service issues and concerns and escalate as necessary with carriers and other vendors.Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet varying deadlines for completion.Facilitate presentations to clients / employees / prospects as a subject matter expert in a professional manner.Act as a company ambassador representing BRSi via outside activities such as seminars, community activities, community business chambers and networking events.Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, insurance industry products and trends, and government regulations.Accurately maintain and keep current client files (paper and electronic) in assigned book of business including but not limited to renewal and carrier correspondence, sales and / or change logs and client correspondence / documentation.Other duties as assigned.Minimum requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business Related Discipline preferred (Finance / Management / Marketing or General Business)CEBS, or other professional designations related to benefits / insurance preferredActive Group Health, Accident and Life license(s). Licenses must be kept current and retained during course of employment.Five years of experience in the Employee Benefit agency / brokerage fieldAbilities required :
Independent thinking, entrepreneurial spiritProficient knowledge of insurance products and regulationsProficient in MS Office SoftwareExcellent oral / written communications skillsAttention to detailAbility to facilitate presentations to clients / employees / prospects as a subject matter expert in a professional mannerSome travel required.
