Summary of Responsibility :

We are seeking a highly motivated, diligent Staff Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our Okuma Tower financial team. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner with excellent written and verbal communication skills, have strong attention to detail. The person will have the ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team environment.

What You Will Contribute :

The accountant responsibilities will include, but are not limited to daily cash reconciliation, intercompany transactions, sales tax filings, month end close and other general accounting tasks. Prepare and maintain proper support and audit trail for all journal entries, all account reconciliations, and financial statements

  • Assist in handling company's cash management process, reconcile and record daily banking transactions and cash balances
  • Perform and support monthly and annual close related activities in a timely manner
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial packages, and analysis
  • Assist the financial staff with various spreadsheet reconciliations and reports during month end close
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls
  • Prepare Sales Tax Returns and assist in Sales Tax Audit
  • Provide support during annual audits and ensure all financial information is accurate and up-to-date

    Qualifications & Competencies :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Understanding of and the ability to implement generally accepted accounting principles
  • 2-4 years' work experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems (Microsoft D365 a plus)
  • Strong technical and Microsoft Office skills, including advanced excel skills
  • Extremely organized and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
