Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Med / Surgical ICU and eICU 24 / 7

The Critical Care Independent Multidisciplinary Practice (IMP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP / PA) for a position in the Mayo Clinic Hospital –Rochester Methodist Campus Adult Medical / Surgical Intensive Care Unit, caring for medical, surgical, and transplant patients in the critical care setting. Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with multidisciplinary intensivists to manage a wide variety of critically ill medical and surgical patients including patients across Mayo Clinic Health system via the eICU. NP / PAs in this area will perform admission history and physicals, daily notes, order / interpret tests, manage medication regimens, as well as ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There is potential for performing select procedures based on need and experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and have ICU experience / exposure, although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this new role.
