Role Overview :
This position is responsible for overseeing the appraisal and appraisal review process, as well as providing guidance to consultants and staff members who are trying to acquire land for road construction projects. In this role you will ensure projects and appraiser / reviewers receive needed appraising technical advice; that all documentation for all parcels are evaluated for consultant quality control purposes and are ready for acquisition; that appraiser's questions for the valuation process receives an answer; that property owner concerns are appropriately handled and addressed; that project managers, Districts, and other staff members obtain needed assistance and support; that staff and consultants receive needed technical training; that processes and procedures are efficient, produce quality work, and are in compliance with state and federal law. That the progress of projects are monitored and guided through the valuation process.
In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying all documents for the appraising of right-of-way being acquired for INDOT projects, providing guidance to project managers on acquisition policies and procedures, resolve disputed issues, coordinate the materials that must be used for acquisition and analyze the information to insure that INDOT has followed state and federal laws governing right-of-way acquisitions. A Certified Residential Appraiser License or greater is preferred but will consider a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Indiana and a substantial amount right-of-way appraisal experience.
Salary :
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $53, Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office, Indianapolis.
