Computer OperationsSoftware productivity tools( i. e., Microsoft Office)E- mailPrintersJob-related financial and student management systemsElectronic file managementCCISD Acceptable Use Policy and Technology Ethics / EtiquetteFUNCTION : The Administrative Assistant I— Special Education Services performs in exercising duties of typing, maintaining files, utilizing database systems, requisitions instructional materials, supplies and equipment, answers the telephone, relays messages and maintains schedules. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS :
Performs general secretarial duties utilizing computer, fax, printer, and other office devices, and calls for repairs.Answers telephones calls, relays messages, answers questions according to approve procedures.Assists in scheduling appointments, receives office visitors, and screens telephone calls / mail.Distributes both school mail and United States mail.Keeps an up-to-date log of absences and submits absentee- substitute payroll forms on special education staff and submits the forms to the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Director for Special Education.Types letters, reports, memorandums, graphs, proposals, procedures and initiatives, as necessary, orders supplies / materials for special education staff prepares requisitions for payment of reimbursements and services rendered to the office and students.Assists in gathering data for reports.Maintains and up-to-date file of correspondence, reports, and other matters pertaining to the Office of Special Education.Register special education staff attending workshops or conferences.Assists other secretaries with extra duties as time allows.Assists in preparing agendas and handouts for staff development and meetings.Prepares work orders for reports, forms, and handbooks for printing services.Types requests and completes requisition for outside vendors / stockroom to be processed.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director for Special Education / Coordinator.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Not applicableWORKING CONDITIONS :
