CHIEF METEOROLOGIST

WISH-TV / WNDY located in Indianapolis, IN has an immediate opening for an experienced multi-platform, innovative Chief Meteorologist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience as a broadcast Meteorologist, prior Chief experience a plus. You will lead a team of six meteorologists, including a digital producer.  WISH- TV has one of the largest newsrooms in the Midwest and produces and airs over 84 hours of live local news and entertainment programming per week in DMA rank #25.

Key skills :

• Expertise with Baron Lynx, Baron Traffic and Baron Mobil App
• Knowledge of Baron Hand Tracker including Telestrator
• Experience with Augmented Reality Graphics
• Experience with I-News and Avid a plus
• Expert user of social media including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, TwitterX
• Facebook live via OBS experience a plus
• Experience with WordPress a plus
