CHILD SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for the daily management and administration of the One More Child Sponsorship Program. This involves communication with sponsors and other departments of OMC. The Coordinator works on sponsorship special programs and events, and reports on the sponsorship program statuses regularly. This position will require knowledge of all aspects of our ministry, communicating confidence in our abilities, and inspiring others to join in our work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinates the management of sponsorship components including verbal, written and social media communications between sponsors and One More Child offices.
  • Coordinates with OMC directors, ministry partners, and the communications team to write and distribute the Sponsorship Quarterly Update emails, annual letter templates, social media content and other sponsorship stories / information as required.
  • Works with the finance office to communicate child sponsorship financial updates.
  • Utilizing various databases (Raiser’s Edge, Reach, Luminate, etc.) to manage sponsorship information and create and distribute monthly sponsorship reports to the sponsorship team.
  • Maintains communication with ministry partners to collect and maintain adequate sponsorship profiles and pertinent sponsorship information.
  • Communicate with sponsors and potential sponsors to update payment information, cancel sponsorships, enroll new sponsorships, and answer all inquiries regarding the program.
  • Coordinating special programs and campaigns to promote the sponsorship program.
  • Assists with promotional events – this could include occasional evenings and weekends, and includes speaking engagements to share the OMC Child Sponsorship program, as assigned.
  • Assist in keeping sponsors engaged and delighted.
  • Works closely with staff to achieve personal and child sponsorship goals.
  • Other duties assigned.

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment and managing projects..
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, Development, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
  • Experience working with social service or global work programs.
  • Bi-lingual or able to communicate in Spanish.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time, talk, listen, or hear. The employee must be able to type extensively, as well as use hands to navigate through documentation related to sponsorships. The employee will need to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job requires the ability to work in high pressure conditions from time to time and remain focused on assigned tasks. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds; boxes, documents, luggage and or computer equipment, is also needed.
