Job descriptionTransport members (Veterans) to and from Veterans Administration appointments Transport all meals from VETS Place Central to Boudicca House daily Time management skills to ensure duties are completed in a safe and efficient manner Courteously interacts with veterans, staff, both internal and external Courteously interacts with internal and external customers, ensuring customers are serviced professionally and on time. Pick up donations from donors as needed Deliver drug and alcohol tests to the VA lab Maintain a separate log of all trips for each vehicle Detailed inspection of transportation vehicles on a weekly basis Daily inspection of each vehicle each morning prior to the first trip of the day Maintain separate vehicle inspection logs for each vehicle Take vehicles for routine service and maintenance Maintain vehicles, i.e. getting gas and keeping vehicles clean and free of clutter Other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record being able to be added to the CVI-approved driver list with the insurance company
- Pass a background check as it pertains to the position
Job Purpose
The overall purpose of the Grant & per Diem Driver is to support all the transportation needs of the Grant & Per Diem program. This includes the transportation of both goods and individuals.
