Job description

Who Youll Work With

Work closely with peers across Product Management Program Management TME Product and Solution Marketing Engineering (HW and SW) Customer Engineering Sales Leadership and other cross functional groups to develop and deliver a strategy and execution plan for Aristas data center products.

What Youll Do

Arista Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Line Manager (PLM) who has a passion for data center solutions to join our growing team. The ideal PLM candidate will be passionate and experienced in defining product road maps calibrating the gotomarket strategy and conceptualizing development opportunities within the enterprise and DC sectors. The Product Manager will be responsible for delivering data center products and solutions for Aristas leaf and spine family of switches both fixed and modular. This key position will report to and work in close collaboration with the Sr. Director / GM of Product Management to drive new data center product initiatives for Arista. They will be responsible for providing direct input on new products and solutions to drive Aristas business and growth by applying their proven product management skills.

  • Apply knowledge and experience to develop product proposals solution roadmaps pricing forecasting and GTM plans.
  • Analyze technology and market trends and understand key customer requirements to define and drive product strategies to capitalize on these trends.
  • Represent Arista at customer briefings sales meetings technology and sales partner meetings webinars trade shows in addition to other internal and external forums.
  • Ensure launch and release readiness with appropriate crossfunctional organizations including developing Marketing Collateral ensuring Channel Readiness executing on Early Field Programs and Sales Programs and participation in appropriate events to increase product awareness.
  • Develop value propositions within the DC segment.
  • Coordinate all aspects of product launch and gotomarket including industry briefings and talks.
  • Communicate effectively with sales teams and customers on a regular cadence.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to guide product planning
  • Define track interpret and report on key product success metrics

Qualifications :

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience desired.
  • 5 to 8 years of overall experience with at least 4 years in product management.
  • Background in systems design network architecture or Technical Support (TAC).
  • Skills need to include product management of a line of systems supporting DC and enterprise deployments.
  • Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
  • Experience with leafspine topologies and general AI deployments.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence and drive multiple teams towards a common vision.
  • Strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition towards datadriven decision making.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to sales customers and partners.
  • Demonstrate experience creating product specifications PRDs datasheets slide decks and other collateral.
  • Performing competitive analysis and / or market research.

    Compensation Information

    The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $135000 to $180000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors including skills qualifications relevant experience and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Aristas Sales Incentive Plan which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. USbased employees are also entitled to benefits including medical dental vision wellbeing tax savings and income protection.
