Job description

Role : Infrastructure Engineer

Location : San Jose, CA

Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for server and network hardware deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting , ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and AMD servers .
  • Deploy, cable, and configure Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment .
  • Perform hardware quality assurance , troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Resolve hardware issues professionally via a ticketing system.

Preferred Experience & Skills :

  • Operating System Installation Windows Server, Linux, Unix.
  • Strong cabling knowledge , including port mapping and cable types.
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with RAID levels , web servers, and database installations is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment .
  • Technical Capabilities :

  • Hardware setup and configuration .
  • Ability to connect and configure PC peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, Bluetooth devices).
  • Software installation and updates , including OS, BIOS, and drivers.
  • Ability to diagnose and triage common PC issues (e.g., blue screens, hangs).
  • Test plan execution optimizing test strategies, executing test scripts, and analyzing results.
  • Leadership & Collaboration :

  • Strong customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration .
  • Effective communication with executives and technical teams.
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and drive improvements in testing processes.
  • Qualifications :

  • Degree in Electronics or related field (minimum 2 years) .
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in hardware testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with PC testing, diagnostic tools, defect tracking, and revision control is a plus.
