As our team grows, we are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join us in providing telehealth services to children with autism.
Position Overview
As a Remote Mental Health Therapist , you will work closely with children diagnosed with autism to provide individual therapy sessions, support families, and collaborate with our BCBA team. You’ll leverage your clinical expertise to address emotional and behavioral needs, develop treatment plans, and track progress—all while working from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Telehealth Therapy : Conduct virtual psychotherapy sessions for children with ASD, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and behavioral challenges.
Collaborate with BCBAs : Consult regularly with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts to align therapy goals with behavioral intervention plans and ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
Individualized Treatment Plans : Develop and maintain individualized treatment goals, interventions, and strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Family Support & Education : Offer guidance to families, helping them understand autism, implement strategies at home, and build a supportive environment.
Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate client records and session notes while adhering to HIPAA standards and all applicable regulations.
Progress Monitoring : Regularly evaluate clients’ progress, adjust therapeutic interventions, and communicate updates to the care team.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
Current and valid state license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent).
Experience :
Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience working with children, preferably those with ASD or related developmental differences.
Telehealth experience is a plus, but not required.
Technical Requirements :
Reliable high-speed internet connection, secure workstation, and ability to run HIPAA-compliant telehealth software.
Skills & Competencies :
Strong understanding of evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, Play Therapy, DBT) for children.
Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, especially BCBAs, to ensure integrated care.
Well-organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a remote caseload.
