CPLC is excited to announce we've been awarded a new grant to start the first Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) in the state of Arizona! We are honored to be one of only two organizations in Arizona given this great opportunity to build a dedicated program in Arizona that provides assertive outreach, case management, therapy, psychological testing, psychiatric care, and medication management to children and adults who have been the victims of crime.

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY

The Trauma Recovery Center serves recent victims of violent crime, including survivors of physical assault, sexual assault, gunshot wounds, stabbings, domestic violence and human trafficking. The Trauma Recovery Center Clinical Social Worker will facilitate clinical intakes, individual and group psychotherapy, assertive outreach, and clinical case management services, using evidence-based practices that are effective for the service population and works as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

SPECIALIZATIONS

  • Strong understanding of trauma informed care and behavioral health services continuum of care
  • Must demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to cultural issues and community practices of low income and at-risk families, including dual language speakers
  • Proficiency in computer software systems including Microsoft Office, which includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication competency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education / Background

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, enabling credentialing with the State of Arizona
  • Licensed with the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (BBHE) at the entry / associate level; independent level preferred
  • Two year's post-masters experience preferred
  • Other Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to be insured under automobile insurance policy
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements
  • Must successfully complete the agency's orientation and demonstrate competence regarding skills and knowledge
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have good organization and time management skills
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR, and First Aid certificates
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
