Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience performing thoughtful analysis on industry sectors and / or individual businesses at a highly-regarded firm in management consulting, investment banking, buy-side business development, asset management (i.e. buy-side research), public equities corporate finance (i.e. sell-side research), or market research
  • Ability to effectively and concisely articulate findings and opinions both in writing and verbally.
  • Desire to work in a high autonomy and high responsibility role
  • Personal integrity, strong communication skills, experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ability to work effectively as part of a small team, high EQ
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a premier undergraduate program
  • Demonstrated professional and academic accomplishments
  • Demonstrates high humility, as well as the drive and want to grow.
  • Ability to gear shift quickly. Putting on a different face for different situations. Ex. Talking to banker vs Talking to founder, again high EQ
  • Very Crafty. Finds ways to get in front of the seller without always abiding the traditional route.
  • Exceptional on the phone

Responsibilities :

  • Support / coordinate the firm’s proactive deal sourcing efforts
  • Screen and assess potentially relevant investment targets within all qualifying themes, using 3rd party information tools and direct research
  • Actively engage and manage relationships with target company executives
  • Originate meetings with target companies and generate investment opportunities
  • Have a pulse of what deals are in the market or coming to market. Also, have a pulse on what company's may have a carve out.
