Full-Time Network Engineer - Dallas, TX

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our client's team full-time in Dallas, TX!

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network infrastructure, security, and telecommunications, with hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Call Manager. A CCNA certification is required, along with expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls .
  • Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls , including rule creation, port configurations, and traffic management.
  • Support and administer Cisco Call Manager , adding and removing phones, configuring new lines, and troubleshooting VoIP-related issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Configure and manage Cisco Call Manager, ensuring seamless communication services across the organization
  • Implement and manage VoIP routers to facilitate effective and efficient voice and data communication
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) to support wireless networking needs
  • Monitor network performance, ensuring high availability and security of critical infrastructure.
  • Perform network troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues.

Additional Experience / Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • Required Certification : CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • Preferred Certification : CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
  • Proven experience with Cisco Call Manager, Cisco ISE, and DNAc
  • Experience with VoIP routers and Cisco WLC
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching
  • Some experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) to support wireless networking needs
  • Strong understanding of network security principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • This position operates in a professional office environment
  • Must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as switches and UPS devices
