ALSAC's Internship Program offers an immersive experience where interns dive into our culture, contribute to organizational goals through meaningful projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. Over the course of 10 weeks, interns are paired with a day-to-day manager and given significant assignments, gaining a true understanding of what it means to be part of ALSAC / St. Jude. Recognized as one of the top 100 internship programs in the U.S. in 2022 by WayUp and Yello, our program is designed to be impactful and enriching.

  • ALSAC Summer Intern Innovation Project : Throughout the internship, interns will connect with innovators across ALSAC, learning the art of Design Thinking. Working in teams, they will engage in creative sessions and prepare to present their projects to ALSAC's CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

Program Details

  • Start Date : June 2, 2025
  • End Date : August 8, 2025
  • Hours : 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
  • Pay Rate : $14 / hour
  • Work Location : 4722 N Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL 61614

    Requirements :

  • A passion for our mission!
  • Must be undergraduate, graduate, or graduation as of Spring 2025.
  • Comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Active participation in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills :

    This intern will be working with our Peoria, IL based team and establish skills needed to plan and execute in person fundraising events.

    As an intern, you will have several various duties that may be assigned, but will provide general support to the team for the following programs :

  • Telethon : local marketing strategy input, participant management and engagement, sponsorship recruitment, logistics, and more - attendance event day is required (8 / 2 / 25)
  • St. Jude Runs : assist with event calendar, assist with newsletter, assist with social media, and more
  • St. Jude Rides : assist in preparation for first participant meeting, participant management and engagement and more
  • Golf : attend meeting(s), assist with side event dinner; event day logistics
  • Youth Programs : assist in planning and development of collegiate and high school programming and Teen Hour for the Telethon
  • Majors preferred : Marketing, Communications, Business, Non-profit Leadership, Recreation Management, or any other related field of study

    Skills preferred : Office 365, social media, excel, written & verbal communication
