Job Title : Physician AssistantJob Specialty : Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic SurgeryJob Duration : 17 monthsShift : Day 12 FT - M-F, On-Call 1 : 3 for CV Surgery during business weeks and weekendsGuaranteed Hours : 40.00Experience : Minimum years of experience not specifiedLicense : Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program requiredCertifications : None specifiedMust-Have : EPIC, Cardiovascular, Physician Assistant skillsJob Description : - Function independently to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-centric manner.- Deliver care in various settings and by different modalities, including hospital, clinic, telephone, video, or secure email as appropriate.- Conduct patient history gathering, physical exams, and review prior records and ancillary data using sound judgment and critical problem-solving skills.- Develop and monitor treatment plans, effectively communicate with the patient, family, and care team.- Provide efficient and compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination, and evaluation.- Educate and counsel patients and families to support the care plan, treatment, and discharge.- Collaborate with healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to provide safe patient care.- Communicate pertinent findings and information to physicians and team members.- Assist collaborating physicians with patient management in the hospital according to policies, regulations, and approved scope of practice.- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice metrics, and document in accordance with guidelines.- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and adhere to service behavior standards.- Perform other duties as assigned, including potential floatation to other departments and on-call placement during regularly scheduled shifts. - Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts is required.- Ability to work nights and / or weekends when necessary for certain positions.
