Overview : Develop and execute merchandising strategy for the New York Landmark store with retail first mentality and client centric approach. In strong partnership with the Landmark retail team, maximize sales through results-driven actions derived from floor / category / store analysis. Build relationships with retail leadership, gather and synthesize consumer insights and act as an advocate for larger store needs.
Business Responsibilities :
- Ongoing sales analysis by category, collection, floor etc to inform retail actions
- Create, review, and evolve assortment plans by floor and category
- Build, evaluate and revise sales plans at category and collection level
- Create comprehensive 360 action plans to drive new launches as well as larger category ambitions
- Capitalize on growth trends and develop strategies to address underperforming collections and / or floors
- In partnership with Supply Chain, maximize sell thru via regular business analysis
- Create quantitative reports and provide qualitative retail feedback to Zone leadership and New York head-office product team
- With Landmark client team, leverage product to maximize existing clients and recruit new clients
- Identify new and innovative business opportunities combining sales analysis, retail feedback and competitive market research
Retail Support :
Work from New York Landmark three days a weekEstablish credibility and build strong relationships with Landmark market team, retail leaders and client advisorsDevelop and deploy both tactical category training as well as strategic messaging to ensure retail support in larger zone initiativesGather feedback, support client events and constantly assess merchandising decisions as realized in retail environmentsBring awareness and motivation around merchandising strategiesIn partnership with zone client teams, execute caravans, selling events and innovative concepts / animations to drive sales through enhanced client loyalty and recruitmentVisual Merchandising :
Align on collection placement strategy to support productivity and sales objectivesAnalyze and provide timely feedback and updates to the effectiveness of floor plan movesTrack the effectiveness of product initiatives are highlighted within caseline and creative fixturesMonitor capacity needsRequired Qualifications :
5-10 years business experienceBachelor's degree, business major preferredStrong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent written / verbal communicationProcess-oriented with sound decision-makingPossess overall luxury aesthetic sensibilitySelf-motivated with a strong drive for achievementProven ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic team environmentKnowledge of basic retail concepts and calculationsThe hiring range for this position ranges from $117,810-$166,320. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
