GENERAL SUMMARY :
Responsible for planning and controlling all financial activities for the organization while maintaining compliance with overall policies. The executive is the financial counselor / advisor for the organization. The CFO plans, organizes, and administers the organization-wide programs of financial management and reporting and revenue cycle operations (in partnership with AH revenue cycle team) to best meet the strategic objectives of the organization. The CFO collaborates with the PE Department of Revenue Integrity and the AH Corporate Responsibility Department to oversee the coding (provider auditing, education and monitoring) function of AHMG.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Management responsibility for day-to-day financial operations for AHMG.
Plan, organize, and control all financial related policies and processes
Develop and present operating and capital budgets, financial statements, and reports
Evaluate billing and collection reports and other revenue cycle metric reports
Develop, implement, and adhere to all internal control policies and procedures
Practice effective cost management
Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making for the organization
Lead out in employment and performance reviews
Maintain relations with external auditors, financial consultants and third-party vendors
Support and enable Corporate Responsibility
P&L production, analytics and review on a routine basis
Balance Sheet management
Capital management and planning
Monthly / Annual month end close process
Budget creation for all entities
Support and collaborate with Coding department (provider auditing, education and monitoring)
Evaluate Accounts Receivable / Revenue Cycle oversight and reporting
Managed care rate analysis
Administer provider compensation plan and assist with design
Ongoing development of provider compensation structure / models
Annual review of provider pay structure to comply with regulations
Interface with AHS Physician Enterprise
Evaluation and creation of proformas for all new and proposed physician practices & services
Coordination of third party fair market value engagements
Participation in due diligence process for acquisitions
Participation in the recruitment process through presentation of practice proformas, compensation projections and physician interviews.

The CFO will review and advise on all AHMG business unit contracts.
Business Partnering : Communicates financial information to AHMG management. Reviews key financial indicators of volume, cost and productivity on a monthly basis with the senior leadership teams, together with specific recommendations on how to improve these performance indicators. Leads the operational efficiency analysis, planning and implementation work in collaboration with accountable operational leaders in the region.
Critical Thinking : Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions. Strong business acumen, intelligence and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting; CPA preferred
10 years in a senior management position
Experience as a hospital-owned physician group Chief Financial Officer.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED :
Licensed CPA
