We are looking for a Lead Kitchen Supervisor for our Bakery / Commissary in Kensington! We produce all of our bagels, cream cheese and more out of this 3,000 square foot facility (plus storage unit) and need someone to lead the charge while working closely with ownership.
WHO WE ARE
Started by Jacob and Alexandra Cohen in the early days of the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Kismet Bagels started out 1 dozen a day out of their house in Northern LIberties, to now becoming a household name among the Philadelphia Bagel scene. With shops in Fishtown, Rittenhouse Square, Reading Terminal Market, and The Main Line (Narberth / Penn Valley), Kismet Bagels produces high quality bagels, and creates unique (but familiar) sandwiches for everyone to enjoy! We also intend to open Four more stores this year!
THE POSITION
While producing over 20,000 bagels per week, we take great pride in creating the same wonderful high quality product over and over again, and expect our Lead Kitchen Supervisor to feel the same way, and leading a team through the process.
We want someone for this position who has minimum 2 years managerial experience as well as 2 years working with dough, can proactively and respectfully manage staff, can think on their feet and problem solve and stay highly organized as well as efficient.
Our production is for our Four Shops (with four more on the way in 2025!), as well as Farmers Markets, Catering, National Shipping, and some light Wholesale.
SCHEDULE
The Schedule for this position is Wednesday-Sunday . Currently, the hours of the staff are 10pm-6am.

COMPENSATION
Annual Salary of $80,000 - by Q4 of 2025 this will increase to $90,000, upon thereafter eligibility for annual raises.
We also offer 80hrs PTO per year, as well as Sick Pay accrual, and Health Insurance (partial employer contribution).
