Senior Solar Designer

Senior Solar Designer (Stamford, CT) : Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems.

Prepare preliminary layouts and photovoltaic system production estimates using Helioscope and PVSyst platforms.

Complete electrical photovoltaic system designs in AutoCAD, including modules, stringing, inverters, switchgear, rapid shutdown, data acquisition system, overhead and underground wiring system, cable tray and raceways, voltage drop / rise calculations, and protection.

Work with National Electric Code (NEC)- NFPA 70; AutoCAD Software; designing storage coupled with Solar; PVsyst software; Helioscope and best practices and quality standards to ensure solar systems designs are reliable, safe, and compliant with regulations; and, utility interconnection requirements to appropriately design solar.

Req's Master's degr plus 2 yrs exp.
