Job descriptionMedical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board certified or eligible in family medicine or internal medicine. Active MA state medical license. DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances. Prior experience working in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care setting. Advanced training or certification in urgent care medicine or related field. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Are you searching for something new? I’m working with a community health center in Worcester, MA and we’re looking for an Urgent Care Physician, MD / DO to join us part-time or full-time.
You will diagnose and treat a wide range of non-threatening illnesses and injuries, provide timely medical intervention, and ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and assess patients with acute medical conditions, including but not limited to infections, minor injuries, and common illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs.
- Need to aid in diagnostics.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform procedures such as wound care, suturing, splinting, and minor surgical interventions as necessary.
- Patient education, along with any other duties assigned.
