Your Role :
The News Editor will be a team leader for MPR News, ensuring accurate, unbiased, thorough, and impactful news reporting is delivered on all platforms. We are looking for a supportive editor who will help reporters do their best work, with attention to source and story development, guiding research and production with a sharp eye on audio and digital skills for memorable reporting that informs, includes, and inspires. The Editor develops detailed daily and enterprise plans and works in a hands-on capacity to realize those plans within and across teams. The Editor will understand service to audience and will work to ensure we are meeting and exceeding journalism needs statewide.
The News Editor may be assigned to support other teams / areas of news coverage as deemed necessary, which may include nights and weekends.
This position sits in the collective bargaining agreement between MPR and Screen Actors Guild—American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (“SAG-AFTRA”).

Expected Hourly Range : $37.98- 45.5707 / hourly. The exact hourly rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.
