Job Overview :
Forsythe DC is looking for a highly motivated Estimator to join our team and contribute to our industry-leading commercial construction projects. This role will work closely with the Lead Estimator and Principals, assisting with specification review, cost analysis, scheduling, risk assessment, and takeoff development for a variety of building envelope projects, including masonry, waterproofing, air barriers, and roofing. Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Lead Estimator and Principals in the full estimating process, from pre-bid meetings to final cost analysis.
- Review specifications, drawings, and amendments to determine the full project scope.
- Identify and assess project risks and potential impacts.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and evaluate GC requirements, site logistics, scheduling, and scopes of work.
- Generate and manage takeoffs and estimates for all disciplines Forsythe performs, including :
- Minor civil and site work
- Structural concrete restoration / repair
- New and existing masonry
- Building skin and waterproofing systems (subgrade waterproofing through roofing)
- Glazing, panel systems, and finishes
- Develop full quantity take-offs to create accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost assessments, competitive bidding, and project planning.
