Job Title : RN Oncology

Location : Seattle, WA

Duration : Full Time Permanent

Shift : 12 Hours a day 36 hours a week

Job Description

• Assess and monitor the health status of oncology patients, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment education to patients and their families.
• Manage and alleviate side effects of cancer treatment through medication and other therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication logs.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and families dealing with cancer diagnoses and treatments.
• Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients by following infection control procedures.
• Participate in oncology-related clinical trials and research as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology nursing through continuous education and training.
