Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I Location : Phoenix, Arizona Shift : 3rd Shift (9 : 00 PM - 5 : 30 AM) Duration : 119 days (March 17, 2025 - July 14, 2025) Schedule : 6 days per week onsite at the Phoenix, AZ Ice Cream Plant (Currently 5 days, increasing to 6 during peak season) Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I to join our team at the Phoenix, AZ Ice Cream Plant . This role requires a hands-on professional with mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. The technician will work 3rd shift (9 : 00 PM - 5 : 30 AM) and play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities : Execute maintenance tasks supporting Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs. Complete and document work orders and maintenance reports accurately. Conduct preventative maintenance according to schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and repair. Perform data entry and process transactions using Safeway computer applications . Ensure compliance with government safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) . Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support a world-class manufacturing environment . Maintain plant equipment to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) , including goggles, ear protection, and steel-toed boots . Additional safety equipment will be provided. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements : 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance technician role. Strong knowledge of valves, valve actuators, gaskets, seals, and HTST processes . Ability to read and interpret blueprints . Basic computer skills , including Microsoft Office and Teams (preferred). Knowledge of electrical theory and PLC programming (preferred). Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a team-oriented environment . Willingness to learn multiple tasks and work cross-functionally.
