Position Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, Air Supply NPI , you will play a critical role in driving customer discovery, New Product Development (NPD) execution, and New Product Introduction (NPI) acceleration. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our strategic direction, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market share expansion. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding unmet or neglected needs through customer discovery, voice of the customer information gathering, working with the global team on product roadmaps to meet these needs, assessing willingness to pay / pricing / business models, and driving successful launches of the new offerings.

Location : Phoenix, AZ; Tempe, AZ

Travel : 10-20%

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • 7+ years in product management, offering management, product development, business management, engineering, program management, or related roles driving growth within a portfolio
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving impactful results
  • Proven project / program management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to conduct market research to identify growth industry segments, and architect and execute plans to grow presence in the space
  • Cross-functional team leadership developing / launching new offerings in growth industries
  • Developing and implementing portfolio blueprint process improvements and new business models to achieve maturity
  • Implementing pricing and go-to-market strategies maximizing revenue and market share
  • Knowledge of aircraft environmental control systems or thermal management systems

Key Responsibilities

New Product Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute the NPI strategy for the Air Supply portfolio by linking customer problems to product value, features and benefits, and developing NPI strategies that address them
  • Ensure NPI strategy is aligned with the company's overall product roadmap and business goals
  • Define product requirements, features, and specifications based on market needs and customer feedback
  • Define and prioritize NPI investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability
  • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales throughout the NPI process
  • Drive collaboration and communication to ensure alignment on product development milestones, timelines, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for the new product within the organization
  • Project Management and Execution

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for NPI projects
  • Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks, and proactively address issues to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Coordinate beta testing, pilot programs, and market trials to validate product performance and gather customer feedback
  • Commercialization and Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales collateral for new offerings
  • Drive product launch activities including sales training, customer education, and promotional campaigns
  • Monitor post-launch performance, collect feedback, and iterate on product features and marketing strategies as needed
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Conduct post-launch reviews and analysis to evaluate the success of NPI projects against established metrics and KPIs
  • Stay in touch with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, process improvements, and cost optimization
  • U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or related roles
  • Proven track record in customer discovery, NPD execution, and NPI acceleration
  • Experience in developing business case financials and creating offering roadmaps
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
