About the role :
The after hours registered nurse supports the patient needs of the agency in the evening during the weekdays and over the weekend. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities after normal business hours.
Job Responsibilities :
Job Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing or related fields, required. Master's degree in nursing or related healthcare field, preferred.
2. Maintains an active nursing license that is in good standing in the state performing job duties. Maintains an active CPR certification.
3. At least 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare management, hospice, or palliative care and / or training in end-of-life care, preferred.
4. At least 1 year of experience with Medicare Hospice Certification as well as CHAP guidelines, preferred.
5. Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family / caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
6. Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.
7. Demonstrate organizational skills.
8. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
9. Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
10. Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
