Estimator | Commercial Construction

Summary : Our client specializes in delivering high-quality construction solutions for healthcare, financial services, commercial, administrative, and light-industrial industries. Most of their business comes from repeat clients, a testament to their commitment to excellence. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Contractor Estimator to join their team!

Compensation : $115,000 to 140,000 base salary + bonuses.

Location : Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities :

Conduct thorough cost analyses by reviewing project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate estimates.
Assess material, labor, equipment, and transportation costs to create comprehensive project budgets.
Identify and allocate necessary resources while maintaining budget constraints.
Estimate project timelines and develop realistic completion schedules.
Prepare detailed bid packages for subcontractors and vendors, outlining scopes of work, allowances, and key cost factors.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure complete coverage of project requirements.
Present cost estimates and work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure competitive and successful project bids.
Lead estimating efforts for Design-Bid-Build projects, including hard bids and general contractor fee-based contracts.
Mentor junior team members, including interns, coordinators, and assistant estimators, to support their professional growth.
Stay engaged in industry organizations and build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.

Qualifications :

5-10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.

Proven ability to estimate projects up to $50M, with experience handling larger projects occasionally.

Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency in construction estimation software, Microsoft Office Suite, and blueprint interpretation.

In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
