About the Role
Reporting to the Project Analysis Manager, this position will be assigned to specific project managers in North America to provide support on all accounting and financial elements relating to managing assigned projects and the billing function.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for reviewing and maintaining cost and revenue budgets at the onset and throughout the life of each project to completion, including change orders and other executed customer contract modifications.
- Providing regular analysis of project cost budgets spent in comparison to original and updated estimates.
- Provide a monthly reconciliation of the project revenue budgets compared to the total funded amount from the customer.
- Review and approve vendor purchase order requisitions for service projects. Monitor vendor PO status, including upkeep of receipts against PO's as well as vendor invoices.
- Provide cost & revenue forecast input and analysis of actual performance results (Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, Direct gross Margin)
- Submit timely and correct manual invoices to customers per contractual obligation.
- Work with customers to resolve billing disputes.
- Provide detailed explanations for Unbilled balances and the forecasted future billings.
- Support the monthly close schedule by performing all period closing tasks in a timely fashion, including but not limited to budget updates, invoice issuance, and project cost accruals.
- Prepare Services and Equipment invoices as per the customer's PO specifications which may involve coordination with Sales Department, other Project Analysts, and Order Management
- Advise on cash applications as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, preferred8+ years of financial / accounting experience.Must be familiar with Accounting Principles, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (ASC 606), and Cost Accrual Method.CPA preferredOracle ERP experience (12 release preferred)Proficiency in using spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling software.Proven Excel skills (pivot table usage, building macros, etc.)Highly organized & attention to detail required; have the ability to prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously while working with a variety of teams / individuals and meet target deadlines.Ability to quickly adapt to ongoing continuous improvements.Excellent internal and external interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to interact with all organizational levels, including senior management.
