Description :
We are currently seeking an extraordinary Banquet professional to lead our banquet efforts in the role of Banquet Captain. As a Banquet Captain , you will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel meeting's food and beverage service. You will assist in managing the entire banquet staff to ensure high-quality execution of receptions, meetings, and events.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Requirements : Job Requirements :
- Analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Effectively communicate with customers, managers, and associates to ensure that all room set-ups, equipment, and supplies, staffing and menus meet / exceed customer's expectations
- Attend BEO meetings
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings and pre-shift meetings with staff to go over functions, procedures, and assignments
- Assemble the banquet service before mealtime and disassemble it thereafter
- Ensure the banquet service space remains well-stocked at all times
- Receive beverage orders and direct these to the kitchen as needed
- Clearing cutlery and crockery from customers' tables
- Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each meal service
- Coordinate quality of food service between cooking staff and floor staff

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
