Overview :
We are looking to fulfill our need for an Entry Level Estimator role at our Teterboro, NJ facility. This role will be responsible for providing support while learning a career in estimating. The Entry Level Estimator must possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills while being results-driven with a keen attention to detail.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned) :
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the estimating department.
- Responsible for maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems and data entry into Excel templates.
- Organize and label all emails which come to the Estimating Department and send emails to potential clients their request is in review.
- Responsible for entering and updating the CRM and Quote Summary Spreadsheet with potential opportunities and completed quotes.
- Print out necessary sections of architectural drawings and specifications sent from the client.
- Learn how to prepare take-offs and project breakdowns by analyzing the project drawings and specifications.
- Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities for aluminum, plastics, gaskets, glazing and other materials associated with the products.
- Learn how to do takeoffs and breakdowns from drawings.
- Accountable for keeping all planner records for the Estimating Department.
- Liaison between the Estimating Department and Sales.
- Assist with small orders by checking for material availability and contacting the clients.
- Take minutes during the meetings, complete the summary template and email to all attendees.
Minimum Requirements :
Technical school or Associate Degree preferred0 - 3 years' experience as an Assistant (non-medical / dental office) and / or estimating experiencePrior data entry experienceKnowledgeable in basic measurement methodsAble to understand and interpret architectural drawings a plusAble to work under pressureAbility to plan and prioritize activitiesFluency in English, both written and verbal, displaying strong written and oral communicationsComputer literate and working knowledge of MS OfficeExtremely proficient in ExcelBluebeam and / or AutoCAD experience a plusBenefits
Full-time position
Hourly Rate Range : $25.00 - $30.00
