Job description

Title : Events Manager

Duration : 9 month contract with potential extension or conversion

Location : San Francisco, CA

The Events Manager designs and produces events that bring together executives, partners, customers and employee. Our events vary from in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences. Success in this role requires agility, clear and compelling communications, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • 8+ years experience as an event professional managing high volume events and corporate meetings
  • Manage Nonprofit Event Program, responsibilities include, but not limited to managing intake, vetting of each nonprofit, submission to internal nonprofit vetting committee and be the direct point of contact for external nonprofits
  • Manage white glove high-touch C-level executive facing programs with high level of hospitality
  • Partner with hospitality stakeholder teams - SIC and Culinary teams to execute high-touch customer meetings and programming.
  • Manage and update event related SOPs to ensure streamlined alignment across event team
  • End to end world class coordination of events including executive receptions, non-profit fundraisers, customer events, executive meetings, and virtual.
  • Manage multiple, complex events and activities daily in a collaborative and extremely fast paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment.
  • Possess strong customer service experience; candidates with a solid events background. and are highly personable and service-focused.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and problem solver who loves to come up with innovative solutions with a willingness to take risks, iterate and learn.
  • Experience successfully managing third-party vendors, contractors, and budgets.
  • High level of confidentiality and comfort in working with executives
  • Ability to manage multi projects at a given time with w / a high level of expertise and skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address client's needs.
  • Ability to work early mornings and evenings

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
