The role
The Director, Clinical Strategy is responsible for creating and implementing clinical marketing plans that build advocacy and highlight the value proposition of Asensus Surgical's technology. In partnership with hospitals and surgeons, the Director, Clinical Strategy will design and implement robust clinical evidence generation, health-economic analysis and publication strategies to grow clinical awareness and support the value proposition with clinical data. This role requires detailed surgical and procedural knowledge of the clinical marketplace in soft tissue abdominal surgery.
What You'll Do
- Partner with key surgeon champions to develop and implement effective clinical marketing programs.
- Create network of KOLs for purposes of successful evidence generation, clinical data collection and technical validation.
- Effectively partner with surgeons, hospitals and health-economist to establish systems and processes for data collection, analysis and publication in reputed industry journals.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Professional Affairs and Medical Education, R&D and other departments to develop the necessary clinical marketing tools, materials and campaigns for marketing development and customer advocacy.
- Create and deliver effective messaging to educate surgeons, hospital executives and Asensus employees of ongoing global initiatives.
- Identify, develop and maintain strategic relationships with key societies and other relevant organizations.
- Implement clinical publication strategy in support of overall marketing objectives.
- Maintain updated knowledge of the industry, clinical publications and competitive activities.

What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree of Science, Marketing or related field.8+ years of progressively successful leadership in clinical research and / or marketing.Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.Prior experience in drafting, reviewing, analyzing and completing clinical publications.Demonstrated success building relationships with KOLs and clinical marketing programs.Strong business acumen and background in the medical device industry.Ability to translate strategies into specific objectives and action plans.Ability to analyze complex data, uncover trends and optimize marketing strategies.Collaborative team player who can build and foster strong relationships with employees, customers, and industry partners.History of consistently executing successful strategies.Optional Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
Master's Degree preferredExperience in general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics and / or urology preferred.Experience in robotics and digital surgery preferred.Ability to travel up to 25%.What We Offer
