Southview Acres Healthcare Center is hiring for a Full Time Registered Dietitian!

About Us : At Southview Acres Healthcare Center, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We're currently seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Primary Purpose : The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that residents' clinical nutrition needs are provided by the food and nutrition services department.

Duties and Responsbilities :

Review and develop a plan of correction for any food and nutrition services deficiencies noted during state / federal surveys and provide a written copy of such plan to the Administrator for his / her approval

Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents based on the comprehensive assessment and care plan along with the resident's preferences and stated goals.

Interview residents or family members ot obtain diet history as necessary.

Review departmental complaints and grivances from personnel and make written reports ot the Administrator of action taken.

Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to assure thye are in compliance with the physician's orders.

Participate in facility state / federal surveys (inspections) as directed.

Participate in completeing, coding, and revising the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).

Develope a written dietary plan of care for residents.

Education :

Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a nationally accredited nutrition or dietetics program from an accredited college or university.

Has completed at least 900 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian or nutrition professional.

Is licensed or certified as a dietitian or nutrition professional by the state or is recognized as a Registered Dietitian by the Commision on Dietetic Registration or its successor organization.

Experience :

Must have, as a miniumum, one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical facility.

Must have training in cost control, food management and food safety.
