Overview

Time Commitment : 20-25 hours per week

Internship Duration : 5 / 19 / 25 – 8 / 22 / 25

Location : Remote but must be located in one of the following states : OH, KY, KS, ND, SD, IL, IN, IA, MI, WI, NE, MN, MO.

Salary : $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of news releases and press materials.

Assist in drafting a wide variety of Marketing Communications materials to promote campaigns, events and programs (e.g., resource links, internal tools, photos, or other multimedia, etc.

Collaborating and assisting the marketing communications team in planning and executing the marketing and communications efforts to promote via earned media or paid media strategies, programs, campaigns and initiatives.

Provide ideas to support strategic marketing, public relations, and corporate communications.

Supporting the team work on collaborating on campaign reports and recaps.

Assist in managing social media accounts, including content curation.

Qualifications

Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing are preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated effective one-on-one and group communications skills and comfortable working with all levels of community leaders, volunteers, and staff.

Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

Experience with Facebook, Instagram and X.

Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and Canva.

Required Equipment : Reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Minimum availability of 20 hrs / wk, M-F between the hours of 8 : 30am-5pm.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
