Job description

LHH is currently seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client’s team on the northeast side of Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience and GL reconciliations experience. This is a hybrid role that will require an individual to live in the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities :

Process accounts payable invoices and reconcile vendor statements

Review invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies

Code and enter invoices into accounting software

Prepare and process weekly check runs

Maintain accurate and organized vendor files

Assist with month-end close activities

Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner

Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred

1-3 years of accounts payable experience preferred

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices

Experience with accounting software, such as PeopleSoft, preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Employment Type : Contract 3+ months, Full Time

Work Hours : M-F 8-5, 40 hours a week
