Job description

Driving and Deliveries :

  • Operate commercial vehicles safely and legally, following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations [ trucking regulations]
  • Transport goods and materials over land, navigating various routes and weather conditions
  • Meet delivery deadlines while ensuring efficient fuel usage
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical problems

Cargo Handling :

  • Securely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of shipments based on bills of lading
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck environment

    • Documentation and Compliance :

  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries
  • Complete paperwork associated with shipments (bills of lading, delivery receipts)
  • Comply with company safety protocols and procedures

    • Additional Skills :

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with shippers and receivers
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to manage time effectively
  • Physical fitness to perform loading / unloading tasks

    • No overnights, overtime possible, guaranteed 40 hour weeks.
