Due to upcoming retirements, they are currently seeking a Tax Senior to join their team in Cincinnati, OH.
As a Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Demonstrating a strong technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards to research, complete, and review technical areas related to flow‐through entities under 150M, cash taxpayer issues, and C‐Corp under 50M.
- Identifying potential tax risk management issues and proposing solutions through research and collaboration, including governance, tax preparer rules, and AICPA standards requirements.
- Reviewing tax procedures, engagement workpapers, and financial statements.
- Thoroughly reviewing tax workpapers in a timely manner, conducting advanced top-level tax review of returns.
- Demonstrating a systematic approach to practice development and providing value-added services. Building and maintaining strong relationships within the industry.
- Ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant communication with clients, following firm and professional guidelines.
- Overseeing tax technology, processes, procedures, and scheduling.
- Addressing complex technical accounting matters and providing guidance to team members and upper-level client management.
- Ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and reviewing workflow to monitor progress.
- Coordinating day-to-day tax planning, work, and wrap-up activities within the team.
- Acting as the primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that require resolution. Developing positive relationships with client personnel and ensuring effective communication.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring tax staff.
- Playing a lead role in client and team meetings, contributing new ideas and strategic initiatives.
- Staying updated on technical and industry developments and standards, and evaluating their potential impacts on client engagements.
