Job description

Responsibilities

  • The E-Billing Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the firm's e-billing operations and lead a team of client billing specialists to ensure seamless preparation, submission and follow-up of electronic bills, while maintaining compliance with client-specific billing guidelines.
  • The Manager will act as a liaison between attorneys, clients and internal departments.
  • E-Billing Management : Oversee the preparation, submission, and follow-up of e-bills through various e-billing platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and promptly address any discrepancies or rejections.
  • Liaise with attorneys, clients and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Billing Operations Manage the entire e-billing cycle, including invoice generation, review and distribution.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure timely invoicing to clients.
  • Supervise the billing team to ensure efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Financial Reporting And Analysis- Prepare and analyze billing reports to track the firm's revenue and billing efficiency.
  • Identify trends, potential areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize the billing process.
  • Client Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction with billing services.
  • Team Leadership - Provide guidance and training to the e-billing team on e-billing systems and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring the team meets deadlines and performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in : Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree may be considered
  • Proficiency with Elite 3e billing software required.
  • Strong understanding of legal billing practices, client guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Minimum of 7 years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Previous supervisory experience and is experienced with interviewing / terminating employees.
