PS300 Research Methods in Psychology Minimum Qualifications PhD and / or research experience preferred. Masters in sociology, psychology, social psychology or a relevant social science. PS300 Research Methods in Psychology Course Description Research Methods is a critical thinking skills class. The main goal is to build your skills as a consumer of research as you overview the scientific approach to studying psychological topics. By understanding research methods in psychology, you will learn to approach the world in a more systematic and scientific manner. This course critically examines issues related to evaluating psychological literature, formulation of research problems and questions, study design, sampling, measurement, survey construction, data collection, analysis and interpretation, and communication of results. PS341 Positive Psychology Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in psychology or closely related field; Experience working in the field related to the target course; Graduate coursework in the target course. PS341 Positive Psychology Course Description An exploration of scientific and applied approaches to identifying a persons strengths and promoting their positive functioning. The course will focus on human potential, emotional and cognitive processes that contribute to a persons well-being and that increase prosocial behavior and the ability to create positive environments.
