ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead the sales efforts for a premier boutique hotel in Boston. This role requires a deep understanding of the Boston hospitality market, strong industry connections, and the ability to develop creative sales strategies tailored to a unique luxury property. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving revenue growth, securing corporate and group business, and positioning a boutique hotel for long-term success in a competitive market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies specific to a boutique luxury hotel to drive revenue across corporate, group, and leisure segments.
- Leverage an in-depth knowledge of the Boston market to identify business opportunities and build relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, setting performance goals and ensuring they achieve revenue targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the hospitality, corporate, and tourism sectors.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns that enhance the hotel’s brand presence and drive bookings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand business opportunities.
- Work closely with revenue management and operations to ensure optimal pricing and occupancy strategies.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and business development plans for senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in the boutique or luxury hotel sector.Strong understanding of the Boston market, including corporate, group, and leisure travel segments.Established network of corporate and travel industry contacts within the Boston area.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Strong analytical skills with experience in revenue forecasting and performance tracking.Ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.BENEFITS
