HIRING A PHLEBOTOMIST IN NEW YORK!
Job Description
We seek an experienced Phlebotomist with 2+ years of recent phlebotomy experience. You must be proficient with straight needles and comfortable performing venipunctures independently from day one. Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills are essential.
DUTIES :
- Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, decontaminate, and update patient information.
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Clearly and courteously explain the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collections (., urine or fecal) as required.
- Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and / or butterfly needles.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Ensure 100% accuracy by checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Store specimen samples at required temperatures, place samples in appropriate collection containers / tubes, accurately label, and follow specific protocols to maintain the integrity of the specimens during transport.

This is a fully on-site position in Brooklyn, New York. (Williamsburg area)
Work Environment
Working at a Patient Service Center (PSC) in Brooklyn, NY, seeing 30-50 patients daily. Part-time, 31.5-32 hours weekly.
Monday-Friday 8am-1 : 30pm, and every Saturday 9am-1pm.
