Roles & Responsibilities
- Clean 3D printed parts following standard operating procedures.
- Hand finish 3D printed parts while maintaining feature geometry and checking tolerances on key dimensions.
- Use precision measurement devices like digital calipers and GOM to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Operate 3D printing equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure timely prototype production.
- View model files using CAD software (, Magics by Materialize) to maintain proficiency.
- Manage finishing supplies in the laboratory and evaluate new techniques and equipment for improved part finishing.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices, BDTI Safety, and Quality Standards, including maintaining a laboratory notebook.
- Wear appropriate safety equipment as required.
- Contribute to R&D activities for 3D printing applications under the direction of the 3D Printing & Prototyping Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Required
High school diploma required.Preferred experience in 3D printed part post-processing or machining activities, or equivalent education and experience.Experience with various 3D printing technologies such as SLA, DLS, DLP, PolyJet, and FFF is advantageous.Proficiency in CAD software is desired.Skills & Certifications
Organizational skills with a focus on meeting quick turnaround times while ensuring accuracy.Openness to explore new techniques related to 3D Printing & Prototyping.Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.Clear verbal and written communication skills.Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.Eligibilities & qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education.Experience in 3D printing or related fields preferred.Proficiency in CAD software is desirable.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies in additive manufacturing.
