Salary Range : $62.5k-$80k

The exact salary will vary based on years of experience and the level of proficiency in both hard and soft skills. It is uncommon for someone to be hired at the highest point of the salary range for their position. Job Description

The QA team performs a critical function in the company by ensuring that the ALIS software is ready to be deployed to production when it will be used by front line essential workers.

The core accountability of a QA individual here is to assess the ALIS software quality through manual testing. Each member of the team is responsible for understanding parts of the ALIS application, preparing test cases, finding and reporting bugs and glitches, and for working with engineers to verify fixes before they are released into production.

Each member of the team also participates in various types of department and company goals on a quarterly basis.

The right individual for this position will be curious, will enjoy learning, investigating, and will be a good critical thinker. Ultimately this position helps ensure that ALIS is working correctly and is providing the best user experience for our clients.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate risks to product quality within the software development life cycle
  • Own and continuously improve an inventory of software quality tools, processes, and skills
  • Provide observability and insight into the product and the product development process

  • Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands on experience with a SaaS product at a technology company including preparing test cases
  • Comfortable learning new technologies necessary to perform aspects of this job (one long term example is learning Python to write load tests)
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Can independently initiate and follow through on new projects without operational supervision
  • Can show discretion in striking a balance between progress and conservatism in processes and structure
  • Can work and communicate well with a range of people, personalities, and job functions
